First thing in this film’s favour is that the screening at ActOne was really pretty full and I’d much rather see a movie in a cinema with other people.

Plus there’s Jason Isaac’s and Gillian Anderson on screen together for the whole film.

And based on an interesting true story (and book) about a couple on their uppers due to a dreadful health diagnosis and equally disastrous loan to a friend going belly-up. So they decide to walk the south west coast path as the other option is street-homelessness.

And the scenery, landscapes and cinematography are good.

Plus it’s directed by the woman who did Company ad War Horse.

But there are definitely lingerie and not much plot. It’s beautiful but how much staring at a bird/the sea/the sky is sustainable. And there’s a LOT of drone filming circling round the couple or a landmark, or the couple in a landscape.

It’s rather charming about the kindness of strangers and it’s quite uplifting but super slow…
