This is a very classy animation. The story is rather an updated Bambi but it’s got robots and cute animals so every 6 year old would love it. It also has the, instantly recognisable, voice of Bill Nighy - which comes as a bit of a surprise two thirds of the way through a very American cartoon. And the music (up for best score) was recorded in London. It’s the sort of invisible export that Donald Trump never thinks about - the sheer proportion of US films with all the music done here. Abandoned robot finds a goose egg. Resulting gosling hatches sees and imprints. And lo the robot is a mum. Then there’s training and inevitable separation. And then strife and reconciliation. That’s it really. A lovely watch.
