New Yorker Sam is between school and college and agrees to go hiking in the Catskills with her dad Chris and his friend Matt. Both men are divorced, Matt rather recently and bitterly. They make gentle fun of Sam's generation but she is far more grown up than they are. They plod through the forest for 3 days, carrying tents sleeping bags (except that Matt has forgotten his), food and camping gas. This has been getting great reviews but I was a little disappointed. There isn't really very much to it though the Catskills look good.
