A romance but wholly non-linear so takes a little getting used to as to what happens when. Which gives an unusual structure.

So Tobias (Andrew Garfield) meets Al (Florence Pugh) when she runs him over. Surely it can only get better? He does IT for weetabix, she is an amazing chef.

It’s pretty much a two-hander.

I went because a British romance with those two actors… of course I went.
But it was strangely unmoving. I was expecting to weep buckets and didn’t.
Which was odd as I’m a serious weeper in movies..

Maybe the problem is that Tobias is a bit of a drip and you can’t quite understand what the whirlwind woman sees in him.

But there are some good scenes - especially the one in the petrol station (once you have seen it, you’ll know which I meant but don’t want too much of a spoiler.

Anyhow, a bit mawkish and strongly reminiscent (for us oldies) of Love Story.
