Jewish American cousins David and Benji set off together to visit the Polish city that their recently dead grandma came from. The two men are obviously very close but present as chalk and cheese: David is constantly anxious while Benji acts as if he's never had a worry in his life, but things are not always as they seem. He is grieving deeply for the said grandma and his neuroses start to come to the surface. Given that he seems never to have a thought that he doesn't express, loudly, this can be hard on the rest of the small tour group, which includes a Jewish convert who survived the Rwanda genocide who is, maybe, a little shoe-horned in.

Jesse Eisenberg wrote, directed and produced this film and stars as David. This is usually a recipe for disaster but he seems to have avoided the ego-driven problems that such projects usually throw up and has delivered a sweet, thoughtful 90-minute film, which makes you think but has a few laughs thrown in.

I enjoyed it although, in the end, I did wonder how much it really amounted to.
