I rather enjoyed it: the three lead actors were very strong and it’s an interesting story - mostly based on fact. The end was really quite moving… the stresses of this huge performance and the actor’s appalling behaviour and some repentance worked well. The repressed homosexuality didn’t seem outrageous to me - the suggestion of grooming was loopy though.
