Is a (mostly) live-action remake of the 2016 feature-length cartoon.

Set among Pacific islands, which are dying, young Moana, the next chief has to find the semi-god who has stolen the heart of the goddess and get him to put it back and save the world.

The Demi-God is a bit of a hopeless case and not interests - but the only interesting character. He’s played by the same chap who voiced the original: Dwayne Williams - the Rock of wrestling fame. He is the best part…

Theres still quite a lot of cartoon/CGIery. Songs by the chap who wrote Hamilton.

I couldn’t quite see the point of the live re-make as it is more limiting and also the cultural appropriation (a Disney speciality) is more annoying.

But the grand-children said they preferred this version - and they are the target audience, not me.
