Rural Macedonia. 15-year-old Ahmet lives with his widowed father and small brother, who is non-verbal. They are peasant farmers, tending 20 sheep and growing tobacco. Father has just taken Ahmet out of school to work full time with him. Meanwhile, Aya, the neighbour's granddaughter, has been brought home from Germany for an arranged marriage. Ahmet is instantly smitten and she seems to like him too, but is she just using him to scare her 'groom' off with her 'immodest' behaviour? Father decides to take the little brother to a healer to 'lift the curse' of his silence. Alone, Ahmet sneaks out to a rave. The sheep escape and also come to the rave, causing a TikTok sensation, but only 19 make it home, to father's fury. It's unusual, a part of Europe and way of life that we don't see much in film. The film is almost stolen by the small boy playing the brother with his expressive little face.
