We are in a West Country fishing village, or former fishing village: the place is falling apart. In 1993, a fishing boat, the Rose of Nevada, was lost with all hands and the families still mourn their dead. Then the sea gives up the boat and they decide to use her again. Two unemployed young men sign up to help but when they return from their first trip, they find themselves back in 1993 and the locals believe that they are the two young men lost then. One, Liam, is happy with his new life where he has a wife and child but the other, Nick, has lost his wife and child from the present day and is desperate to find a way back. This is a very odd little British film. It takes a while to get going and requires quite a lot of concentration. I suspect it repays more than one viewing, if you can be bothered.
