This dramatises the rise of the French New Wave Cinema in the late 1950s, specifically Jean-Luc Godard's Breathless, filmed on the hoof in the streets and hotel rooms of Paris (beautiful period recreations) in less than 3 weeks, without make-up or any of the usual tricks of the trade. It made a star out of Jean-Paul Belmondo and gave Jean Seberg one of her most memorable roles.

Filmed in black and white, this film is utterly charming. You don't need to know all about the New Wave or anything about Breathless to love it.
