Very interesting points John. I have no objection to anyone worshipping, and have already pointed out previously, that it is right that people are allowed to worship without fear or prejudice as long as their activities are within the law. The problem is that there is wide belief that the Islamic Faith has not moved on, as others have done, therefore are we to believe that the following of their Prophet is the teachings that they follow, or have they indeed moved on. I, for one minute, do not believe that following the teachings of the Prophet in the 21st century are compatible with British Law. The biggest problem is that the Islamic community will not reveal where they stand, and we are left with no choice but to believe that they are avoiding the truth, thereby giving us reason to be suspicious. And why shouldn't we condemn a society that believes in stoning people to death, beheading people in public, treating women as second rate, believing that people who do not follow their Faith are "kaffir" and what else that entails, a group that have no respect for other religions, their activities regards children, i mean, can you honestly say that you would be comfortable knowing that these things were happening in the U.K.. Be in no doubt, these things are normal in some Islamist countries. I just want to know the TRUTH, and until the truth is known, i see no reason to allow this religion to prosper any further in this country, hence my reason for saying we should not allow the building of any further Mosques. I take note of your point regards Islam being stuck in a rut, but i can also see the point of Bush, and it appears Obama is getting tough too, on Islam because it has many worrying features as a religion. What i don't understand, is that we have radicals on our streets who have no alliegance to this country, have no respect for our culture and freedoms, have no respect for any other religion, yet they are allowed to pray in Mosques in our country, unchallenged. Some are clearly milking our benefit system, yet are free to denounce the very people who afford them a decent living. I JUST CANNOT SEE THE COMPATABILITY WITH ISLAM AND BRITISH LAW, and as yet i have not seen one shred of evidence to say that it is compatable. It is a difficult subject, and we need to know the truth, NOW. |
