I can't find any equivalence ( in terms of physical threat) between Christian and Islamic fundamentalists at all. I recognise how objectionable and irritating some Christian fundamentalists can be, but while they aren't slitting throats and bombing nightclubs and tube trains shouting "God is great" I cannot CANNOT find them " just as objectionable". In any case, whether *I* find them objectionable or not is not the issue. The issue is whther or not they are dangerous and threatening. Christian fundamentalists = annoying Islamic fundamentalists = dangerous. And that is an uncomfortable truth. |
