Copeland was in fact a member of the British National Socialist Movement and not the B.N.P.. He was a racist and was suffering from paranoid schizrophenia. There are failings in every society, that is a fact of life. I wonder if we really are expecting too much from multi-culturism, and whether it really works, but i would like to believe that it works. I, too, have Muslim friends, some of them are practising Muslims, and they, too, are okay. The problem is Islam. We have had many cultures settle on our shores, and they have brought many great values to our country and have integrated with us, enjoying our way of life, yet still following their own culture and religion, and respecting that they are in a predominately Christian country. Islam, on the other hand, is not respectful of other cultures, nor of any other religion. The fundamentalists, [and the numbers are growing] are hell bent on taking over other countries as their own, with their own religion and culture being the predominate one. I agree that most Muslims are peace loving individuals and enjoy being in this country, but how long will it take for the fundamentalists to take a grip of power in this country. There is also the previous posting that many are not commenting on, and that is a more worrying element in Islam, and one that needs to be understood and debated. I, like many others, want answers to what the beliefs of Muslims, are, and what compatability does their religion have on our legal system. I am still waiting for someone to tell me. The cod war was a political problem, always was, and was solved politically as was the Irish conflict. Football violence is a worldwide problem and is based on rivallry, and is a Police matter in most countries. The problem with Islam, is that we seem to be sleep walking into what is a Religious problem, and we only need to look at news clips to judge the reaction and trouble that Islamic fundamentalists can cause. In a Politically Correct country, we are more at risk of acting later, rather than sooner, thereby multiplying the problems we have to eventually face. Islams teachings are harsh, that is a fact, you only need to read the Koran to judge that. You cannot begin to compare Islamic and Christian values as equal, and to do so, is delusive. Do not even go there. |
