| Not at the Goldsmith Avenue gate yet - thank goodness. You may have noticed all those idiotic green signs going up on the planters - and then being taken down again. Ours were put up on Monday - caused some confusion. Then it seems to have dawned on the Council that they were completely misleading and no sensible tribunal judge would uphold a fine where there were these signs. So by 0900 this morning, they had gone again. That's quite an investment of our money - at £50 a pop to install them and more to remove them- for signs that lasted FOUR DAYS. The council seem to have consulted the London Cycling Campaign/Ealing Cycling Campaign on installing the signs - but not its own lawyers, officers or constituents. |
