Usually, when you put quote marks round some prose, it indicates you are quoting from a piece of text. Why make up a quote? I don't take my mother shopping. That would be quite unwise in the current circumstances. This plan won't help congestion. It won't decrease pollution. Some of the LTNs may - like the one on East Acton Lane, which looks very sensible and does stop rat-running. This one isn't thought-through. What would help is for the council to take action to encourage those waiting at the level crossing to turn off their engines. But, although that would do far more to cut pollution, there's no government money in it and it never gets to the top of the list. |
