ndeed Andy, we do. The rat race they are stopping is between horn lane and the vale via acacia. As long as this is open the phv’s and delivery vans speed down these residential roads with risk to persons (my kids). Sara, your logic is that new routes will force more traffic on to the larger roads, but you omit, in your analysis, that a large amount of traffic (15% estimate by Ealing council) will be lost in its entirety and stay on the main roads (such as the a40) instead of cutting through poets corner. To your specific problem, why not park on the other side of the barriers and that way get swifter access to horn lane for your necessary driving? I for one have found that I park on either side of the acacia road barriers, depending on where income from and where I am going. Personal reduction in cutting through poets corner is 90%. |
