Who drives everywhere? Whenever possible I, like many others, walk or cycles... to the local food bank, to visit mum, to see a grieving friend. But that’s not practical when picking up 89yo disabled mother or delivering the street’s contribution to a drop-in in Hammersmith. Then the hybrid car, not one of the household’s four bikes, is the only option. And it’s a nightmare. Journeys taking four times as long, increased and increasing congestion and frustration and pollution on our boundary roads - especially Horn Lane. Likewise for a tradesman, with a van-load of tools, who took 40 minutes to get to us in Acton Central from East Acton Lane. You want him to go out of business? This LTN doesn’t work for local residents or for local businesses and should be amended or abolished. |
