obviously everyone matters the same. If anything, this should benefit the air quality to the entire area, that’s the theory, we will have to see if it works, but other examples have demonstrated the effectiveness. a roads, like horn lane (it is an a road right?) , can surely not be considered the same as a residential road. I am all for getting rid of traffic, I hate that my kids grow up in this air quality. Is your point that the LTN has led to more fast travelling bikes scaring you and your kids? Aren’t you confusing your own predicament with traffic flow planning and modelling? And also, bikes are good right? And if LTN has led to more bikes, let’s then focus on bike lanes next;) I also have small children and I really do understand the paternal fear! I’d love for the area to be car free and cannot wait for ulez. But surely you understand that we have to speak in facts and data and not base traffic planning on feelings - mine are positive and yours are negative - whose do you base the decision on? If the LTN removes 15% of traffic to the entire area (incl horn lane) you must think that is a good thing, right? |
