Historically you are correct,but there's no a fag paper's width between the parties at local government level.It's the same in Hounslow, which now seems more like a fiefdom rather than a council,the closure of Church St.(the richest street in Isleworth and probably the borough to traffic a few years ago despite a 'consultation' which had 76% against the idea,particularly as it would and has adversely affected traffic going to West Mid Hosp and has resulted in huge and slow moving lines of traffic idling engines outside 2 schools.I could go on.Local Labour councils have more neck than a brass giraffe. |
