| Hi Tony, I did't mean to deliberately antagonise you - but the point I am making is that everyone needs to be very, very careful about some of the statements that are being made on this forum. Too often - examples of individual behaviour by Muslims,Jews, Christians, blacks, whites, East Europeans, Chinese etc etc - are used to damn an entire race,nationality, culture or religion. And too often some of the "facts" that are wheeled out in defence of these arguments aren't facts at all. You just need to look at the history of anti-Semitism - and the stories of well-poisonings and blood-libels - to understand how dangerous this can become. By all means - lets talk about issues of race, culture and religion - but lets do it a reasonable way based on well-founded arguments. |
