http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/immigration/9831912/I-feel-like-a-stranger-where-I-live.html I've lived in Acton since 1981 and find little resonance in this article. We have always been a 'mixed' area, though the mix has varied with the years. I do not see this as a bad thing. No one has ever advised me to cover up when swimming but then Acton is not Tower hamlets. Be interesting to hear from others, particuarly those who are not bound to the area by schools, children, or Churches. By what means do the young singles buying flats create a community? |
