| Re only British person in a hospital ward, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx could well believe it Jean, have heard many say the same thing. I have just finished an hour long conversation with an Iraqi friend, he works hard 6 days a week but his sister's husband age 50 is ill, has never worked but sired 5 children here, is very worried re their £5000 per month in benefits being reduced. They live in Perivale, where apparently lots of persons from the Middle East have settled. I asked what his disability is, mental sickness was the answer, from the situation in Iraq. My friend told me lots of things cost lots of money in Iraq, so they come here as it is free. He actually is the only one from there I know who pays his way. Friday night I was visited by my first Iraqi friend who has been here since 2000 and never worked but given everything. No wonder this country is going bust. |
