| Hi Angela At this stage i would say that it is worthwhile to follow Nikki's advice. A complaint to Ian Livingstone would always be investigated although it may take time. If you are now doing this to try and prevent others from having the same problems it may also be worth making request for all information pertaining to your case under the data protection act. This will usually cost £10. I don't know the current procedure so you will probably need to call them up. Usually you will have to write to the 'Data Registrar' in order to make this request. You will get all the notes that BT have made on their systems about your account and the problems that you have reported. If you have been keeping records of who you spoke to and when - this will show up any gaps on BT's part. I have done this with several organisations - it is VERY useful to have this kind of information if you are making a high level complaint. Using the data protection act I won a case against Brent council who were trying to make me pay an entire year of Council tax in one payment. If you are seeking compensation then you definitely need to do this. Regards Jamie |
