| >>Apart from to the gin cupboard where does one go from here<< Another company. My Other Half will never, ever knowingly use a BT product or service since she tried to take over her deceased father's account. The call centre operative was clearly under instructions to do everything possible to get her to CLOSE the account so they could charge the usual extortionate sum for re-connection. Eventually, BT did unilaterally close the account and sent a letter to the decedent commiserating with him on the death of his daughter. I beleive the letter was shredded with extreme prejudice She now has a satisfactory phone and internet service from Virgin. I've been pretty happy with Sky broadband, which I get relatively cheap as a Sky+ subscriber. I was with BT and they made a right hash of the migration, ultimately leaving me unconnected for a fortnight I'm toying with the idea of moving to Virgin's cable service, mostly for the real 20Mb connection (rather than a fantasy 8) , but a part of me is still saying 'if it ain't broken, don't try to fix it |
