Isn't the question here whether high standards can be achieved at secondary level by pupils whose parents can't afford, or refuse to pay for private education and can't access the faith schools option? Or in the case of AHS, even reasonable standards, say 50% of pupils reaching the five GCSE's A-C? If other schools in London can do it, then why not AHS, with all its wonderful resources. If there was any chance of that happening, then there would be no need for Toby's new school. I'd love to hear from any other AHS parents, past or present, with views on why it is necessary for a concerned parent to set up another school. |
