| For Sara, my apologies for not acknowleging your earlier post explaining your choice for your childrens schools. As an aside when my boys were at their excellent primary (Greenside) John Betts, close by was always oversubscribed by the local well heeled from 'Brackenbury Village' but had real problems when a significant number of their pupils left at the age of 8 for prep schools. The school had to accept a much broader social range to fill the spaces and allegedly had problems coping. No idea if many years later this might still be the case but there are a now a lot more local private schools for primary age. See the recent 'Options' supplement and the 'Green' magazine where schools seem to have replaced estate agents as the major advertisers! |
