Topic: Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:Friary Park Estate regeneration Message: Thanks all for the information. I have registered with CAN and will be happy to contribute to any further action. A couple of days ago a sent a compliant to Catalyst regarding the proposal and today I got a reply to which I have counter replied. Sanya - I will forward details of the conversation, once it is concluded, to the account you provided. In summary the reply was more of the same from what was in the news letter plus the following.... "There are already a number of tall buildings in North Acton and both the Mayor’s and the Council’s planning policies indicate that they will look favourably on future applications for higher buildings in the area to meet the demand created by Crossrail." ...I was of course quick to correct Catalyst that the bulidings next to North Acton station, which is a purely business and commercial area where the tall buildings do not overlook resedential properties, is in no way the same as the proposition at Friary Park. I find their view on this naive to say the least. I will certainly be attending any future development meetings. The 3rd edition of the newsletter was the first that I have received and I wasn't even aware of the development before that which shows that not everybody in the area is aware of what is being planned. To that point I also find it strange that the development plan 3rd edition ie. the first mention of a 20 storey high rise, is not available on the Catalyst website. Last edition available is August. Very convenient! I am happy to provide any assistance on the matter if required. If anybody wants to contact me to discuss or help in any way my email address is chris.petrie@gmail.com I would encourage everyone to send a complaint to Catalyst. It can't hurt to start letting our feelings be known as early as possible.... http://www.chg.org.uk/residents/all-residents/complaints-and-suggestions/contact-form/ Good luck! Chris Forum Home |
