I am a school governor of nearly six years, of a local school (not in Ealing, I should add) and have some interest in this matter, and some considerable experience in funding. If the DCSF has money to fund the WLFS, why does it not have the money to fund the other new school that was proposed in Greenford - an area where there is an equal need for school places - and also cannot find the money for the essential school improvements that will have a significant impact on thousands of children throughout the LA? Why is the WLFS protected in this manner? It would send the message that the 750 students at the WLFS are already being singled out for privilege that other children will not benefit from. |
