| In a post on here Toby said that it was one of the things he had to do, invite people from other parts of the community. And of course there would be suitable people who live on the South Acton estate, just because someone lives there does not preclude them from having a valuable input. If you read all of the Allen paper the evidence is there, for instance: "The biggest beneficiaries are children from highly educated families; the impact on low educated families and immigrants is close to zero." "Rebecca Allen states in her conclusion that "The experience of Sweden is helpful, but necessarily limited, in the extent to which it can help predict the impact of school reforms in England." Exactly. The supporters of the the Free School system say look at Sweden look what they have done if it works there it can work here. I believe Allen is sceptical they will have any impact here. |
