| It is not about a perception that exams are easy. Look at the papers for GCSE in any subject and tell me they're easy! They are not, and it is unfair on all the students who study so hard when people (usually Daily Mail readers) spout this nonsense. The problem may be that some schools don't encourage children to do well, or that some children are able to get away with doing the minimum. But for the majority of students who work hard, they've certainly earned their grades. I remember doing O and A Levels and as they were exam based anyone who was "good at exams" could coast for the year, cram at the end and sail through. Not so nowadays. |
