What facts are you referring to? As a parent of a child who starts her exams in two days, I only care about the fact that the strikes meant she and her fellow students missed vital lessons because the Unions don't solve disputes by sitting around a table and discussing them like grown ups. Other Acton parents care about the fact that their children lost valuable school days and parents had to arrange childcare and in some cases lost earnings etc. I care about the fact that the pupils were used as political pawns and their loss of teaching time was casually considered as collateral damage! That a failing school has to become an Academy is a government issue, not an Acton issue! If all teachers had given 100% in past years the school would not be in this position. |
