| Thanks Ansa. Think they are going to need it with all the goings on. One of the things that gets us so angry is that the strikes are presented as "Saving Acton High". The regional union rep. seems to have his strike formula well tested (at other schools) with his leaflets, banners and t-shirts. This results in "Jo Public" actually thinking that the Unions are saving the school from closing down. The reality seems to be that if they continue their planned strikes, they will just destroy our community school. I heard that Ark was the only worthwile Academy willing to take AHS on!!! So not exactly a lot of choice! Everybody keep fingers crossed that the Unions are not severing AHS's lifeline with their strikes! It would not serve the local kids, their parents, nor the community! A.H.S. might not be the best school, but it is our school, to be improved and serve our local kids! It is not there for the Union to score their political points at a cost to Acton kids! |
