| A documentary about the time in 2021 when a Home Office enforcement team carried out a dawn raid on a street in Pollockshilds in Glasgow and tried to detain (and then deport) two men. And on a road with a mosque in it. And on Eid. Which was either a conspiracy and intentional or a massive cock-up. I always incline to the latter. One man crawled under the van and then the crowds built leading to a stand-off. And then capitulation. Lots of footage. Some historical context. Good, well-chosen interviews. And Emma Thompson playing the man under the van. She produced it too. Worth seeing and rather better than the Putin doc that won the Oscar. |
