| Spaniard Luis has crossed to Morocco in search of his daughter, who was last heard of there but has been silent for 5 months. With him is his young son Estaban. They go to a rave and hand out photos of the missing girl but nobody knows her. He is taken up by a band of what one can only call hippies, a motley crew in a couple of camper vans, with drugs and good hearts. There is unrest in the country, talk of war, but they decide to head south to another rave. There are some startling plot developments which I won't divulge. The trouble is that they are interspersed with what one can only describe as longueurs as the vans trundle across barren landscapes which could easily be on the moon. It's been getting rave reviews but I only quite liked it. |
