But Richard, I don't know of any cases where Parking attendants apply discretion. They always ticket and advise the motorist to appeal. This is the point I am making in response to Steve Donnellys curiosity about why motorists encourage eachother to appeal and celebrate finding loopholes. I also roll my eyes somewhat at the examples I gave being included by him in what he describes as 'motoring offences'. When you have a crappy, unjust system, moronically applied, it should be no surprise when the peasants are revolting. I haven't clicked on the link yet, but I will. I will be going past there later and having another look, which is more accurate than Google earth anyway. It has always seemed to me to be a perfectly safe place to stop, causing obstruction to no one. I think my point about the parking camera van sitting there still stands. That van is bigger than my car, is it not causing vans to swerve into the centre of the road? When the Co Op opened, one of the members of staff there told me that it was fine to park outside just for a quick shop. |
