these mobile things are a menace, at least with human beings there is some leeway for common sense. my dad and my husband got tickets from a mobile unit at acton town tube station, one dropping someone off and the other picking someone up. Neither stopped for longer than the few secs it takes for anyone to get into/out of a car and they were in front of that parade of shops not directly in front of the station, but they were snapped none the less and both had to pay up. I wish you the best of luck but my experience with council parking offices has not been good. I got a ticket because I was 7 minutes late getting back to my car after settling my seriously ill husband into charing cross hospital. I was on my way back to the car when he passed out, if I had not caught his head he would have hit it on a washbasin but the council wasnt interested and I had to pay. Theres no harm in trying though they tend to hold the fine to the lesser amount even if you lose the appeal so you have nothing to lose by trying. |
