"But the parking space outside the Co Op is NOT just beofre a right turn, it's nicely tucked in." Did you actually click on the link I gave? It shows the right-turn lane starting at the Co-op. The parking space is not "tucked in" at all; it's the nearside lane of the road. "when the Co Op first arrived there, I was under the impression that it was ok to pull up there and do a quick shop. I've done that many times. Ditto the cashpoint machine. Maybe shopping at the Co Op didn't count as I was carrying heavy shopping?" I don't know how long the yellow line and the current hours of operation have been there. But shopping during the day is not allowed there now. If you are in any doubt about that, read your Highway Code! Of the parking examples you gave, I agree that more discretion should be given. The PCN issued while you were obtaining a permit is unreasonable and should have been appealed. The tyre on the kerb: marginally careless of you but doesn't deserve a PCN. Moving after payment to a residents' bay: as a resident in a CPZ, I would say that that one is justified, but only if the bay markings and signage were clear, not always the case in Ealing. |
