| When i said that i didn't know many people who would thumb their nose at speed limit enforcement I was talking, not about the numbers who would exceed the limit, but the numbers who would contest the fine. i don't have the figures, but I'm guessing that the numbers of contested fines for parking offences are much higher than for speeding. If people are caught speeding, in my experience they just suck it up and pay the fine. This is because, by and large, they recognise that it is not unfair. |
