That's the title of the film, not a cry for help. Fran lives along in a dreary town on the coast of Oregon, working in a dreary office at the Port Authority. She barely speaks and her co-workers, while a kindly bunch, have clearly given up on getting through to her. Then Robert comes to work there and makes a real effort to get to know her. They go out a couple of times but when he asks her the smallest thing about herself, she accuses him of prying. She imagines elaborate scenarios in which she dies. I'm not sure how this film came to be greenlit. It's slow and dreary and, ultimately, frustrating as there is no clue why Fran is the way she is.
