Jane - Lynton Road may not be crowded with displaced parking or commuters.....it seems the other side of Horn Lane is prime for that, as I've said. However, many residents on this side of Horn Lane wanted the CPZ because of the parking problems so we're getting it. Lynton Road and the likes were probably included so that it protects you from the displaced traffic once our roads around here are made CPZ. All or nothing. Makes sense to me. Dee is right about 2012. As if we don't have enough problems at the moment. As for commuter parking.....we also are the victims of garages who park their customers' cars here for days on end, alongside their tow trucks, which surely don't belong in a residential street. Ditto I'm-away-on-holiday parkers! We have a business in our street which is run using white vans. We have loads of them parked here. Plus old buses and coaches covered in graffiti which are used as touring coaches in the summer, I presume, but left here (at least 3 in our small street) for months on end. But just think.....all that's going to end soon. How wonderful. |
