Jane Quill - in answer to your question "which roads are filled with commuters' cars every day?" Have a look down Friary Road (it splits into 3 parts) by the green, Friars Way, top of St Dunstan's Ave, Friars Gardens, St Dunstan's Gardens to name a few. If we get this CPZ (and I'll believe it when it's here) then I for one am delighted. It took years of slog to get this. I and others have been very vocal on this website to get this to happen. We got a lot of stick for it, so some people were protesting then. Try living in my street with a child (3 years old). Trying to come out of my drive safely is extremely dangerous because of all the commuters' cars parked bumper to bumper, hence one can't see the traffic coming. Whatsmore, the daily rubbish left besides these migrant cars is awful and just plain rude. As for the £40 permit, I was told it would be £25, so that's a mystery, but if I had to pay twice that, it's worth every penny to me. |
