"if one could restrict these large commercial vehicles from parking overnight ..." I've seen references to such a restriction. There is in fact a PCN contravention code, 55, assigned to this: "A commercial vehicle parked in a restricted street in contravention of the Overnight Waiting Ban". Councils differ in how they describe this. Wandsworth and Southwark say that "no commercial vehicle over 5 tonnes in weight may park overnight in London streets." Ealing, however, say that "this only applies where an overnight [no-]waiting sign is displayed." They can't both be right if it's an all-London rule. More research needed. |
