| Hi You guys really need to be aware of what is really happening. The premises is to be an Amusement Arcade. The owners are trying to use a loophole in current gaming legislation to increase the number of High Stakes machines allowed in the premises. NO BINGO WILL BE PLAYED THERE. At the moment an amusement arcade (AGC) is permitted 4 £500 jackpot machines switched on at any time, this limit is there as thesse machines are considered a harder form of gambling and their numbers need to be controlled. By applying for a Bingo club license the owner will be allowed to run an Amusement Arcade with 8 such machines. Does Acton really need another Gambling establishment? The behaviour of the operator is clearly not in the spirit of the law which allows an increased number of machines for Bingo Clubs.....The Gambling Commission is watching this kind of behaviour closely but has yet to act. All the power is in the hands of the Local Authority in deciding whether to allow this. |
