| Milena “Would the 2 roundabouts be too close together?” No, there are plenty of roundabouts that are much closer together. "Where would pedestrians cross?" One could put in raised zebra crossings on each road from the roundabout. On the Uxbridge Rd, one would ideally put in ‘refuges’ in the middle of the road so pedestrians can focus on traffic from only one direction at a time whilst crossing. Gunnersbury Rd could be tricky as a crossing may not be visible to motorists turning left into the road until the last second. I’m not a traffic engineer either, but the idea seems at least worth exploring “It is worth considering a petition?” Comment on the proposal and – more importantly – lobby the South Acton ward councillors. Find out when the next ward forum is, go along and let them know your views. |
