| I am a resident of Hillcrest Road and am EXTREMELY worried about the proposed scheme. The element that concerns me is the ban on right turns from Uxbridge Road and left turns from Gunnersbury lane - this would inevitably have the affect of channeling traffic away from the main roads designed for such a purpose and onto the smaller residential streets such as Hillcrest Rd, Wilcott Rd and Denehurst Gardens. These roads are already used as "Rat Runs" and suffer from traffic congestion in the mornings - with lorries getting stuck on narrow streets and tight bends - these proposals will only serve to exacerbate the problems further. Please join us in objecting to these proposals which will damage the neighbourhood. |
