Thanks for your admiration! Ofsted inspections plus bits of paper giving exam results of individual children - not anecdotal. And that's the point: children are individuals which is why league tables prove nothing.Indeed, many other excellent and high achieving schools at other end of borough - not generally accessible to the children who go to Acton High, some of whom are achieving equally highly! With regard to projected pupil numbers, a new secondary school will be sorely needed. But it'll need more than 300 spaces. Can you just imagine how it would feel to kids at Acton High if they were to hear some of the comments on this discussion? We should really focus less on choice and more on driving up standards at ALL schools. Then we'd all be happy! Good bye! |
