Faraday was on the site of King Fahed Academy. It featured in one of the first 'fly on the wall' TV docs and caused a storm in the tabloids as it showed children doing what they do, rather than what the Express/Mail etc thought they should be doing (swear, smoke, disrespect, sex, free think etc etc)It closed soon after. There must have been surplus capacity at the time? My neighbour's son was a pupil and thought it OK, he and the remaining year groups were transfered with some of the staff to the AHS/Reynolds site. Forget his name but over the last year or so a poster was requesting personal recollections of Faraday for a book he was writing. I think it is now published. Perhaps Toby could ask the Saudi Princes if they want to off load it, not many pupils since they ditched the English examination system and not the Estate Agents advantage it had 15 years ago..... |
