I'm at a slight loss to understand what a councillor would gain by "being in it for themselves" - we're not talking MEPs here. I can't talk to the "blue badge" incident, but I do know Kate and Daniel - they were neighbours for years. My experience of Kate is that if you treat her reasonably, she will respond reasonably. That's not to say that you will agree with her opinion and action, but that's the beauty of British democracy....it really only exists at election time!! I do think that it's crazy to exclude the streets on the other side of Horn Lane - it's a mistake, and I'm guessing that it will probably be fixed. Pouring vitriol on Kate and her son will get you precisely nowhere. Do they "hate your guts"? I don't know, but if is the way that you have talked to them in the past, I would imagine that they would give you a wide berth. I would imagine that the main reason that they won't speak to you is that you are rude and aggressive. By all means, let's have a debate on it - but a civilised one. If we want the council to actually take notice of what's on this forum, then let's present our position in a dispassionate intelligent way. Alternatively, let's carry on being rude and reactionary, and Ealing would be quite right to say "these people only represent themselves, not the silent majority". |
