| It ain't NIMBYISM, Naomi. My kids will be out of Derwentwater in a couple of years, but it'll be YOUR kids who won't have room to run around in a playground, won't be able to perform at year assemblies, and won't have whole-school events like summer or winter parties because there simply won't be room. The council ought to be looking for a new site to build a new school - because they DO exist - in order for YOUR children to have the state education that they deserve at a local, human-scale school - either at Derwentwater or a new one. |
