| The name of the latest person that I spoke to at the Parking office on 020 8825 6680 is PK, aka Prabhahara Shetty (not sure about spelling). He was adamant that residents in Zone K1 cannot park in the rest of Acton and are not covered by their permit. This makes sense. Why should Zone K1 residents pay £25 and still be able to park all over Acton when everyone else is paying £45? Claire, unless your assurances are in writing, I think that you may find that they are about as solid as a snow flake in the Sahara. Perhaps you should take up these assurances with your local Councillor in turn and get what you have been told confirmed. Last year in January 2008 I paid £45 for my Residents Parking permit at the same address that I am at now. This year it's £25 and yet still the Council is demanding by letter and in error £45. Disgraceful. I am entirely fed up with Ealing Council, their intransigence and incompetence on much. Jane |
